Risk Month in Review: October 2026
BA Labs' October report covers a Stability Scope parameter change, stUSDS keeper rate settings and Treasury Management Function figures for the Sky Ecosystem.
BA Labs summarizes its October 2026 work for Sky. Stability Scope: it proposed one change, a 0.2 percentage point SSR increase following SOFR dynamics and a 1 percentage point stability fee increase for all Core Vaults, estimated to reduce annual USDS profits by about 6.01M USDS. stUSDS: with the keeper launch, stUSDS rates move from manual to automated updates; BA Labs recommended temporarily lowering stepStrBps and stepDutyBps from 1,500 bps to 500 bps for the October 8 spell as a precaution, noting a 5% step would have capped only 1 of 23 updates since 21 June 2026, and posted initial ValueRegistry configuration for the keeper. Treasury Management Function: for the October 8 spell, September net revenue of 14,635,947 USDS and Aggregate Backstop Capital of 82,340,071.36 USDS (50% Step 2 retention) gave Step 3 Capital of 5,854,378.80 USDS. The LSSKY-SKY stream and SKY burn are now sized on realized Smart Burn Engine purchases in the prior month (40,547,581.67 SKY in September) instead of a TWAP, with a recommended burn of 7,372,288 SKY. It also recommended default Parallelized Allocation System parameters for Spark's Arbitrum and Base PAUs.
